Sprinkler Systems FAQs

Why do I need to blow out my sprinklers?

Water left in the lines freezes in winter and can crack pipes, heads and valves. Blowing the lines out with compressed air in the fall avoids costly repairs in spring.

When should sprinklers be winterized in Idaho?

Typically in October, before the first hard freeze. If you are not sure, call us. One customer booked a blowout with us after meeting our crew working in their neighborhood.

My lawn has dry patches even though the sprinklers run. Why?

The usual causes are broken or clogged heads, misaligned spray patterns, low pressure or a stuck valve. A zone-by-zone check finds which.

Can you change my sprinklers after a landscaping remodel?

Yes. When beds, lawn areas or trees move, the sprinkler layout needs to move too. Sprinkler remodels are one of our core services.

Can you install sprinklers for a new lawn?

Yes. For new construction yards we install sprinkler lines before sod goes down so everything is covered from day one.

How much does a sprinkler repair cost?

It depends on what is broken. A head swap is small and a broken main line is bigger. We quote before we start so there are no surprises.

Do you do spring start-up?

Yes. Spring start-up checks catch winter damage before the heat arrives and your lawn suffers.
